Maintenance works at Ben Anderson Barrage

From 16 October 2023, Sunwater will gradually lower the water level of the Ben Anderson Barrage to its minimum operating level to perform necessary maintenance works.

The water level will be lowered using Irrigation Demand. There will be no releases downstream.

Visitors to the barrage should exercise caution when boating or using other watercraft as there is an increased danger of colliding with hazards at or just beneath the surface of the water.

From 10 November 2023, Sunwater will gradually increase the water level of the Ben Anderson Barrage and return to normal operating levels by 2 December 2023.
