Right to Information
The Right to Information Act 2009 (Qld) (the RTI Act) gives the public a right of access to documents held by Government Owned Corporations. It replaces the Freedom of Information Act 1992 (Qld) which will continue to apply for applications lodged before 1 July 2009. All applications received after this date will be dealt with under the RTI Act.
Sunwater is committed to supporting the Queensland Government in this initiative by proactively making information available to the public through this website and various other communication channels.
Sunwater operates both commercially and in the public interest. As a result we must balance our obligation to protect commercial-in-confidence information while at the same time providing information to the public about our commercial operations.
Sunwater proactively releases information to the public relating to our policies, operations and day-to-day business. Sunwater endeavours to keep this information relevant to the public and up to date.
