Paradise Dam – spill event

Update 2 – 6 December 2022, 1.40pm

Paradise Dam is 102.19% capacity and the volume of excess water flowing over the spillway is decreasing.

If downstream of the dam, expect increased river flows and remember if it’s flooded, forget it.

An update will be issued if further rainfall in the catchment cause flows to increase.

Update 1 – 1 December 2022, 2.34am

Due to recent rainfall, Paradise Dam is now spilling excess water. The dam is 100.7% capacity.

The Paradise Dam Emergency Action Plan has been activated and Sunwater will communicate with Bundaberg and North Burnett Local Disaster Management groups (LDMGs) as required.

The boat ramp at Paradise Dam is now closed for recreation until further notice.
