Leslie Dam is no longer spilling excess water, however minor valve releases are continuing. If you are downstream of the dam, continue to avoid potential hazards and remember if it’s flooded, forget it.

Update 3 – 16 September, 4:27pm

Due to recent rainfall, Leslie Dam is at 100.6% capacity and outflows are now occurring.

If downstream of the dam, expect increased river flows and remember if it’s flooded, forget it. Flows are expected to stay within bed and banks of river.

Check the Southern Downs Disaster Dashboard disasterdashboard.sdrc.qld.gov.au/ for emergency news, road and crossing closures and power outages.

Leslie Dam is 100.4% capacity and the volume of excess water flowing over the spillway is decreasing.

If downstream of the dam, expect continued river flows and remember if it’s flooded, forget it.

An update will be issued if further rainfall in the catchment cause flows to increase.
