Update 1 – 1 December 2022, 9pm
Beardmore Dam is 97.82% capacity and is expected to spill excess water in coming hours.
All persons who have pumps near the river have been advised to monitor its height and consider removal. Spillway discharges of 5000 ML per day are expected.
If downstream of the dam, expect increased river flows and remember if it’s flooded, forget it.
