The current essential works to lower the Paradise Dam spillway provide a short-term risk reduction while plans for the longer-term dam improvement project are designed and implemented.
Building Queensland is developing a Detailed Business Case that will provide further information on options for the future of Paradise Dam. The Detailed Business Case will be provided to the Queensland Government by the end of 2021.
