RAB Irrigation Price Review – Irrigation Customer Invoice Calculator

RAB Irrigation Price Review

Sunwater will submit a proposal to QCA for consideration of a regulated asset base methodology for renewals recovery.

Irrigation Customer Invoice Calculator

Our irrigation customer invoice calculator allows you to see what RAB-based prices mean for you.

Irrigation customers will be sent a short survey in early December 2025 seeking views on timeframe options for closing annuity balances to be recovered/returned if a RAB approach is adopted.  The calculator will help you to respond to the survey.

It’s easy.

  • Download the irrigation customer invoice calculator.
  • Select your scheme from the drop-down box.
  • Enter your water allocation volume and usage data. Your water allocation can be found on your most recent Sunwater invoice.
  • View the comparison of your prices.

Note: Customer and Stakeholder Project (CASPr) prices are not included in the calculator. Find out more below.

CASPr Update – November 2025

The purpose of CASPr was to replace and consolidate existing systems with a contemporary, integrated solution for customer and stakeholder relationship management, water accounting and billing.

In 2025, after a review of project scope, performance and cost, Sunwater formed the view that CASPr was not going to achieve the desired outcome and made the decision to close the project.

Irrigation prices for 2025-26 and 2026-27 include some element of recovery of CASPr costs. As the project is not proceeding, Sunwater intends to rebate the cost of CASPr currently being recovered through prices. We will share the calculation and payment approach with customers in early 2026.

Sunwater is applying lessons learnt from CASPr as we work to identify an alternative, robust system for customer water accounting and billing that can manage the complexity of more than 100 tariff groups.
