Commencement of Callide Dam Gates Project works

Sunwater will soon begin works to establish a project site to investigate the Callide Dam gates.

Works will include establishing a temporary access track to ensure trucks can travel safely in and out of the project area; constructing a crane pad to facilitate the investigation of the gate faces; and a fenced-off onsite maintenance area.

People living or working close to the dam may experience construction and vehicle noise during the site establishment works and subsequent gate investigations.

Works are planned between 6:00am to 6:00pm Monday to Saturday, however, in unforeseen circumstances, construction works may be required to continue into the evening. If this occurs, Sunwater will endeavour to prioritise the more disruptive works earlier in the day.

Residents and businesses within close proximity to the site have been notified in advance and been informed that they can register for SMS updates in the case of required night works by emailing community@sunwater.com.au with their name, address and phone number.
