Julius Dam | Temporary closure of rec area and boat ramp

Update 1 – Wednesday, 28 October 2026, 4:00pm

Sunwater will be completing recreation facility upgrades at Julius Dam during November and December 2026.

To allow these works to be completed safely, public access to recreation areas and the boat ramp will not be available from Tuesday 3 November to Friday 18 December 2026 (weather and site conditions permitting).

We apologise for any inconvenience this temporary closure may cause and appreciates the community’s understanding while these important improvement works are carried out.

The project is part of a Queensland Government program to upgrade recreation facilities at popular dam and weir sites around Queensland.
