Our dams are great places to relax and enjoy the great outdoors. You can take out a boat, throw in a line or relax onshore with a barbecue – check each dam’s webpage to see what facilities are available at each site.
You may bring your dog to our dams. Please keep them on a leash and clean up after them.
Help us keep our recreation areas tidy by using the rubbish bins provided. Do not put seafood waste in these bins – take it with you when you leave.
Boating
You can go boating at all our dams except EJ Beardmore and Kroombit dams. You may not waterski or jetski at Teemburra Dam.
For information about boating and safety, visit Maritime Safety Queensland.
Fishing
All our dams (except Kroombit Dam) are stocked for recreational fishing, so you’ll be able to hook a wide range of native fish including barramundi, saratoga, silver perch and sooty grunter.
But remember – you can’t fish on or near the dam wall, or within the marked exclusion zones. Make sure you have a fishing permit and follow all regulations.
