Cooranga Weir project update

Sunwater has referred the Cooranga Weir project to the Australian Government under the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 (EPBC Act).

This is the first step in the environmental approval process. The Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water (DCCEEW) is now inviting public feedback on the referral. At the end of the public comment period, the referral information and feedback received will be reviewed by DCCEEW. This will determine whether the project needs approval under the EPBC Act before it can proceed.
