Wuruma Dam | Boat Ramp Upgrades

Update 1 – Monday, 20 April 2026, 10:07am

Sunwater is upgrading the boat ramp area at Wuruma Dam, including new facilities and road maintenance.

 

Work is scheduled to start in late April and finish in early June, subject to site and weather conditions. Sunwater may need to close the boat ramp occasionally during this time, and we will accommodate individual boat ramp users as well as we can during these closures. These works will not impact recreation areas over the Labour Day long weekend.

 

This is the second stage of upgrades at Wuruma Dam. The first stage of works was completed in January, with accessible facilities, new BBQs, picnic tables and shelters, and new roads and landscaping installed at the campground.

The project is part of a Queensland Government program to upgrade recreation facilities at popular dam and weir sites around Queensland.
