Sunwater advises all residents and visitors that maintenance works have concluded and there is no longer an interruption to the potable water supply at Burdekin Falls Dam.

Update 1 – Wednesday, 3 December 2025, 1:14pm
Effective immediately Wednesday 3 December, there will be interruption to the potable water supply at Burdekin Falls Dam due to an electrical issue resulting in an impact the potable water supply.
Sunwater encourages residents and visitors to minimise water use during this period where possible.
Bottled water is available from the Sunwater Office for affected residents.
A further update will be provided when a timeframe for resolving the issue has been established.
