Fairbairn Dam | Controlled burns

Update 1 – Wednesday, 24 June 2026, 8:00am

Controlled burns are scheduled at Fairbairn Dam for various times between Monday 29 June 2026 and Monday 31 August 2026 (local fire bans and weather permitting). These aims to reduce fuel loads and the risk of bushfires.

Smoke may affect parts of Fairburn Dam Road and Selma Road, which may make it hard to see. Please drive carefully.

The Fairbairn Dam recreation area and boat ramp will stay open.
