FLOOD WATCH AND ACT – Excess water spilling from Moura Off-stream Storage into the Dawson River has increased

Warning level: WATCH AND ACT 

Warning area: Downstream of Moura Offstream Storage

Excess water spilling from Moura Off-stream Storage has increased. Water flows from Moura Off-stream Storage may contribute to localised flooding near Saleyards Road, Dawson Highway. MONITOR CONDITIONS as they are changing. Call Triple Zero (000) if your life is in danger. Call the SES on 132 500 for flood help.  What you should do

·        Prepare to leave now so you can go quickly and safely if flooding occurs or gets worse.

·        Decide where you and the people you live with will go – a safe place away from flooding. This could be with family or a friend.

·        Decide how you will get to your safe place.

·        Do not enter floodwater, rivers or creeks.

Moura Off-stream Storage is spilling excess water into the Dawson River. People near Tomaszuks Rd, Saleyards Rd, Dawson Hwy and Back Creek should STAY INFORMED and MONITOR CONDITIONS. 

 

 What you should do 

·        Decide what you will do if flooding starts.

·        Do not enter floodwater, rivers or creeks.
