Kinchant Dam has returned to regular operating conditions. Releases from the dam have now ceased.

STAY INFORMED – Kinchant Dam has exceeded its maximum operating level (87%) and is releasing excess water into Sandy Creek.

ADVICE from Sunwater. Kinchant Dam has exceeded its maximum operating level (87%) and will commence releasing excess water into Sandy Creek. People near Sandy Creek, Mirani and Eton should STAY INFORMED. Water flows from Kinchant Dam may impact Anthony’s Crossing and Curran’s Crossing. Expect increased river flows.

What you should do 

• Decide what you will do if flooding starts.
• Do not enter floodwater, rivers or creeks.
