Boil Water Alert Lifted – Clare township

Sunwater advises all residents and visitors at Clare township that tap water used for drinking is now safe to consume.  

This notice applies to all residents and visitors to the Clare township area from Friday 5 December 2.31pm.

There is no longer a public health concern over the quality of drinking water, and it is now considered safe for all typical uses including drinking, preparing food and beverages, personal washing, dishwashing, laundry purposes and flushing toilets. 

 

Sunwater has worked closely in consultation with Queensland Health to resolve the situation as quickly as possible. Sunwater will continue to closely monitor the situation. Residents should flush out affected water from the pipes in their homes. Residents are asked to share this notice with neighbours and visitors.
