Sunwater is upgrading facilities at Wuruma Dam campground area, with work expected to commence early August 2025 and finish in early December 2025.
During this period, the campground, toilet block, lookout and dam wall will be closed.
The boat ramp and water-based activities will remain accessible via Wuruma Dam Road, with detour signage and traffic controllers in place as needed. The public toilet facilities located near the boat ramp will also remain open.
The Recreation Facility Upgrade Project is part of a Queensland Government program to upgrade recreation facilities at popular dam and weir sites around Queensland.
