Results of testing at Kinchant Dam shows no observed presence of blue-green algae. The hazard level has now reverted to low.

Update 1 – Friday, 9 May 2025, 1:58pm

The blue-green algae hazard level at Kinchant Dam has increased from low to moderate due to an observed presence of surface scum, which may indicate blue-green algae. As a result, caution is recommended.

Direct contact with blue-green algae or consumption of untreated water may increase the risk of skin irritations and other health problems. An update will be issued if conditions change.
