Burdekin Falls Dam | Temporary closure – caravan park & campground

Update 1 – Friday, 2 October 2026, 8:00am

Sunwater will be undertaking improvement works at the Burdekin Falls Dam caravan park, campground and day use area from Friday 16 October until mid-December 2026.

So that works can be done safely, the facilities will be closed to the public during this time. This is to minimise interactions between visitors and construction activities.

The boat ramp will be open during the works (subject to dam conditions).

We understand this closure may inconvenience visitors and appreciate your patience while work is completed.

We will provide further updates if timings change due to weather or site conditions.
