Rookwood Weir (Managibei Gamu) has again been recognised for excellence in water management and environmental sustainability.
A collaboration between Sunwater, GHD, ACCIONA, and McCosker Contracting, the project took home the 2024 Australian Construction Achievement Award in Sydney last night.
The accolade follows the project winning the 2023 Premier’s Award for Excellence and being named joint winner of the Queensland Major Contractors Association’s Project of the Year Over $100M Award.
‘This recognition highlights the incredible work our team does every day to ensure that we not only meet but exceed the expectations of our stakeholders and the communities we serve,’ said Sunwater Chief Development Officer, Infrastructure Development and Delivery Mal Shepherd.
‘We’re proud of the innovative solutions we’ve implemented and the positive impact they’ve had on the environment.’
