Sunwater acknowledges the Queensland Government’s commitment to rebuild the existing Paradise Dam and looks forward to its consideration of the detailed business case.

In preparing the business case, Sunwater has prioritised:

• dam safety and risk management
• the provision of safe, reliable and affordable water for irrigation, industry and urban use in the Bundaberg-Burnett region.

The detailed business case provides a rigorous, fact-based analysis of a range of issues and options to support the Queensland Government in its decision-making.

We are committed to ongoing engagement with stakeholders on this critical state asset and the timely delivery of a dam project that preserves water security for our customers across the region.
