Fairbairn Dam | Controlled burns

Residents and visitors to Fairbairn Dam are advised that for the purpose of reducing fuel loads and risk of bushfires, controlled burns are scheduled at various times between 21 October 2025 and 30 November 2025 (local fire bans and weather permitting).

Smoke may impact sections along Fairbairn Dam Road and Selma Road during these burns. Decreased visibility on the roads is possible, so it is important that motorists drive safely to the conditions.

The Fairbairn Dam recreation area and boat ramp will continue to remain open during this time.
