Water Boards – Distribution Operations Licence (DOL) Holders

SunWater’s process varies slightly when the seller has a distribution contract with a Distribution Operations Licence (DOL) holder.

The DOL holders are:

  • Pioneer Valley Water Co-operative Limited – Pioneer Valley Water Supply Scheme
  • Kelsey Creek Water Co-operative Limited – Proserpine Water Supply Scheme
  • Six Mile Creek Irrigators Co-operative Limited – Proserpine Water Supply Scheme
  • Lower Burdekin Water – Burdekin Haughton Water Supply Scheme

Important Information: The Solicitor/Customer must request approval from the relevant DOL holder for ALL applications and written approval from the DOL holder must be provided to SunWater before we can proceed.

Transfers and Leases:

Required documents to commence must be provided by Solicitor/Purchaser/Lessee

  • Application for Water Supply Contract Form
  • Customer Profile Formfor all new customers
  • Copy of Sale Contract or Completed Form 1 & 24 (for Transfer)
  • Copy of Completed Form 7 & 20 (for Lease)
  • Company Search (if Purchaser is a company)
  • Full Trust Name details (if Purchaser is a Trust)
  • Death Certificate and the applicable Title document/s 4, 5, 5A or 6 (if Deceased Estate)
  • Water Allocation searches for all water allocations

Required documents to complete must be provided by Solicitor/Purchaser/Lessee

  • Copy of Stamped Form 1 & 24 (for Transfer)
  • Copy of Lodgement Summary issued by the Department (for Lease)
  • If a Financier is lodging documents with Titles provide contact details of the Financier (if applicable)
  • Copy of Registration Confirmation Statement/s (RCS) issued by the Department (applicable for Transfer OR Lease)

Change to a Water Allocation: (Zone; Priority; Purpose; Name)

Required documents to commence must be provided by Solicitor/Customer

Required documents to complete must be provided by Solicitor/Customer

  • Copy of Registration Confirmation Statement/s (RCS) issued by the Department

Subdivision or Amalgamation:

Required documents to commence must be provided by Solicitor/Customer

Required documents to complete must be provided by Solicitor/Customer

  • Copy of Registration Confirmation Statement/s (RCS) issued by the Department

Response Time by SunWater

Our aim is to complete all applications efficiently and within an acceptable timeframe. The following is a guide on our response times:

  • Issue self-executing Water Supply Contract and Notice to Registrar (5 business days from receipt of fully completed application form and ALL required documents/forms and any Request for Further Information)

Application Fee

An Administration and Transfer Fee Fee is applicable and an invoice for the fee is emailed to the Solicitor/Customer upon receipt of the application. Current fees can be obtained from the Fees & Charges Schedule for the relevant scheme located on Scheme Information.

Currently, no fee is applicable for Subdivision or Amalgamation applications.
