Coolmunda Dam reopening to water-based activities

Coolmunda Dam will be re-opened to all water-based activities on Tuesday 16 July 2019. The dam was closed as a precautionary measure on 14 June after a large number fish died due to cold weather and low water levels.

Sunwater is pleased to announce that the water colour has now returned to normal and the clean-up and disposal of dead fish has been completed.

We will continue to monitor water quality and safety conditions. We urge anyone undertaking water-based activities to be mindful of exposed and submerged hazards and exercise caution at all times.

Sunwater apologises to visitors for any inconvenience caused by the closure.
