Callide Dam – spill event

Callide Dam

Update 1: Thursday 3 February, 2022 – 10.50am

Callide Dam is at 71.1% capacity and may spill excess water in the coming two days due to forecast rainfall in the catchment.  

If the water level approaches the fixed spillway crest, the gates will be manually and safely raised above inflows. An update will be issued if conditions change.

  • downloading the Sunwater App 
  • following Sunwater on Facebook and Twitter   
  • checking Banana Shire Council’s Disaster Dashboard emd.banana.qitplus.com for emergency news, road and crossing closures and power outages  
  • monitoring forecasts and river levels at bom.gov.au
