Paradise Dam is 99% capacity and no longer spilling excess water. Operational releases have also ceased.

If downstream of the dam, expect increased river flows and remember if it’s flooded, forget it.

Paradise Dam is now spilling excess water. The storage level is 100.1% capacity and rising.

The Paradise Dam Emergency Action Plan has been activated and Sunwater is working closely with Bundaberg and North Burnett Local Disaster Management groups (LDMGs).

Update 1: Wednesday 2 February, 2022 – 11:35am

Paradise Dam may spill water in the next few hours due to forecast rainfall over the catchment. The dam is currently at 99.2% capacity.

Sunwater is fully prepared for a spill event and is working closely with the Bundaberg and North Burnett Local Disaster Management groups (LDMGs).
