Recreation users are advised that a six-knot speed limit will be put in place for some areas of Tinaroo Falls Dam if the storage level drops below 45.95 per cent. With no inflows to the dam, this is forecast to occur on Monday 21 December. It is important all users adhere to speed limits for safety reasons.

Boaties will still be able to access up to 300 hectares of the dam that remains exempt from the speed limit until the storage level reaches 36.8 per cent. Based on historical data, if the dam receives minimum inflows it is forecast to reach this level in June 2021.

Signage will be in place at boat ramps with additional information about the restriction zones. Sunwater will keep the community updated of any changes via Facebook, Twitter, the Sunwater App and the Sunwater website.
Sunwater reminds visitors to Tinaroo Dam to read signs, beware of hazards, stay aware of their surroundings and enjoy the waterway safely.
