Sunwater camping grounds to re-open

Sunwater camping grounds at Wuruma Dam, west of Bundaberg, will re-open from midday Wednesday 3 June 2020.

Please note, due to construction work at Eungella and Burdekin Falls dams, camping grounds at these locations will re-open on Friday 12 June 2020.

Members of the public are welcome to visit Sunwater recreation areas, dams, lakes and weirs which re-opened for day use on 1 May 2020. This includes Eungella and Burdekin Falls dams.

Sunwater sites can be accessed to undertake recreation activities such as picnics, swimming, boating, skiing and fishing. This includes access to Sunwater-managed toilets, shower blocks and BBQ facilities in day use areas.

Visitors to these sites will be subject to meeting current social distancing guidelines and Sunwater also encourages people to bring their own supplies and observe good hygiene practices.
