Chief Executive Officer
Peter Boettcher
BE (Agricultural), MBA (Tech. Mgt)

Peter Boettcher

As Chief Executive Officer, Peter is charged with providing leadership and overall  business management to SunWater. Peter is recognised as a leading authority on water infrastructure management in Queensland.  Throughout  his career, Peter has gained extensive experience in senior management roles both at a strategic and operational level.

Peter believes that the industry is moving to a more competitive and commercial model where water and water infrastructure services are recognised as being a critical enabler to economic growth.  This emerging environment provides exciting opportunities for SunWater in the areas of business growth, improvements to water infrastructure management, improved service levels that enable customers to reach their business goals, and provision of key infrastructure for the benefit of future generations. 

Peter is a respected industry professional experienced in all aspects of commercial water business management. He is focused on ensuring that SunWater delivers dependable and reliable infrastructure services to all of its customers, whether they are local governments, commercial industries, or irrigation water users.

Peter commenced his role as CEO SunWater in April 2008 having held previous positions in the organisation such as Chief Operating Officer and General Manager of the Water Supply Services Division.

 

General Manager Asset Solutions
Mark Browne
DipEng (Elect), BBus (Business Management), MBA, MAICD

Mark Browne Mark Browne has over 20 years of experience in Project Management, Business Development and Business Management in the infrastructure construction industry. He commenced in the role as General Manager, Asset Solutions in September 2007 and is responsible for SunWater's project delivery.

Prior to joining SunWater, Mark has held senior positions in large infrastructure construction companies responsible for the delivery of multimillion dollar projects throughout Queensland.  He was responsible for a variety of contracting arrangements including alliances and traditional delivery mechanisms.

Mark has also worked for one of the world largest defence contractors as the Chief Strategist and Manager of Business development for their Systems Group.  The objective of this Systems Group was to supply turnkey electronic solutions and facilities management services to the Australian Defence Department.

Mark will use his broad industry experience to focus on ensuring that SunWater continues to deliver project services to all of its customer bases, both existing and newly developed.

 

General Manager Corporate
Geoff White
BCom FCA

Geoff White Geoff White has substantial commercial experience in all aspects of business and financial management, as well as audit and corporate governance. He was a partner in a leading accounting firm for 14 years.

Geoff has been involved with a wide range of organisations including public and private companies, joint ventures and not-for-profit organisations. He has significant practical experience in the management of client relationships, human resources, information technology and financial administration.

Since joining SunWater in June 2001, Geoff's primary focus has been to refine systems and processes, and ensure that best-practice corporate support is provided to the operational business units to assist them in achieving effective customer service.

 

General Manager Water Service
Ken Gouldthorp
B. Bus, M. Com, FAICD, CPA

Ken Gouldthorp As General Manager Water Services, Ken Gouldthorp is responsible for delivery of commercially competitive infrastructure management services for SunWater, it’s subsidiaries, and facility management contracts for other owners of major water infrastructure.

Ken also oversees all aspects of service delivery from strategic asset management and risk, asset operations and maintenance, environmental, asset and water licence compliance, to customer service, billing and collections.

Ken has more than 20 years of executive management experience which has been drawn from a diverse range of positions within the local government, business, finance and defence force sectors.

During Ken’s distinguished career he has developed a strong track record for efficiency and growth, in particular through his chief executive office roles.

With his many years spent within central and north Queensland organisations, Ken is fully cognisant of the unique challenges SunWater faces in its regional locations and is well-placed to ensure our organisation can deliver on customer commitments while continuing to increase our overall value and effectiveness.

Ken’s combination of operational experience and strategic business and commercial acumen provides another level of expertise to SunWater’s executive management team which is charged with meeting the challenges presented to our organisation.
