As one of the leading bulk water suppliers in Australia and managing around $7 billion in assets throughout Queensland, SunWater supplies water to a diverse customer base including mines, power generators, local governments and irrigators.

In regional Queensland especially, some areas have an abundant supply of water and SunWater currently has water allocations for sale and/or lease. With an asset base of 19 dams and 63 weirs and barrages, full storage capacity is over 6.7 million ML, of which around 2.18 million ML is available as water allocations for delivery to customers.

As well as investing in future water security through infrastructure planning and expanding available capacity, SunWater are also investigating the treatment of coal seam gas water and identifying viable markets for the produced water. This innovative approach towards water has to date seen SunWater successfully make water work now and in the future.
