Dial Before You Dig
SunWater's pipeline network stretches 2,700km across Queensland and delivers in excess of 1.3 million ML of water to customers.
Responsible for delivering water to some 5,000 customers, this vital infrastructure requires SunWater and landholders to work responsibly in and around pipelines to reduce disruption and risks.
Dial Before You Dig (DBYD) is a free national community service designed to prevent damage and disruption to the vast pipe and cable networks which provides Australia with the essential services we use everyday – electricity, gas, communications and water.
DBYD has a unique partnership with Australia’s underground asset owners, including SunWater, to act as a single point of contact for information about underground networks so that when you begin new construction works you are aware of any underlying problems that may occur.
Each day Australia’s extensive service network for electricity, gas, communications and water is disrupted due to lack of planning. Take time to ensure you aren’t damaging one of Australia’s most precious resources and dial before you dig.
