Infrastructure refurbishment and upgrades

Our staff have undertaken major infrastructure refurbishment projects and upgrades for clients in Queensland. We have raised spillways, incorporated inflatable rubber dam walls to existing infrastructure and raised complete dam walls and weirs. Our primary aim is to develop cost-effective solutions that achieve the best outcome for our clients.

Water infrastructure operation and maintenance

SunWater's water supply infrastructure throughout regional Queensland is maintained by a group of specialist engineers, technicians, tradespeople and operations personnel. We also operate and manage infrastructure such as dams, weirs, barrages, reservoirs and balancing storages for other authorities.

Flood control operations

At SunWater, we have extensive experience in flood control operations. Our experience in this area has been honed and refined over 25 years of computer modelling of floods. Our operations staff are on standby 24 hours a day during major flood events to manage infrastructure and to plan and implement water releases to minimise the impact of flooding.

Asset condition assessments and monitoring

As a leader in the field of asset management, SunWater has in place world best practice asset management processes. We have considerable expertise in asset condition assessment and extensive knowledge of current legislation and engineering design and maintenance standards. We can assist you in developing a complete asset management framework tailored to your needs or focus on specific areas as required.

Environmental monitoring and assessment

That's why we are proud to offer our clients our extensive expertise in managing and carrying out environmental studies. We can even produce environmental management plans that can be integrated into an environmental management system in compliance with AS/NZS ISO 9001:2000.

Energy Management

SunWater staff have completed energy efficiency assessments on major water infrastructure facilities including pump stations, industrial pipelines and irrigation distribution systems.
