SunWater Board Appoints Chief Executive Officer

The SunWater Board is pleased to announce that Ms Nicole Hollows has been appointed to the position of Chief Executive Officer and will commence in late April.

Chairman Leith Boully said the Board is confident that Ms Hollows’ extensive experience in the resource sector and strong leadership will ensure that SunWater continues to provide the water services essential to the economic growth of regional Queensland.

"Ms Hollows has a proven record as a CEO in the resources sector and understands the critical importance of having safe, reliable water supplies to underpin mining, agriculture and regional communities", said Ms Boully.

Ms Hollows has been Managing Director of AMCI Australia and SE Asia since February 2014 and was CEO of Macarthur Coal for five years.

Ms Hollows said she feels privileged to be offered the opportunity to lead SunWater and leverage the company’s strong track record in providing regional Queensland with innovative water solutions.

"SunWater is widely respected in the delivery and operations of bulk water infrastructure in regional Queensland. I‘m looking forward to playing a key role in the development of SunWater’s future priorities in delivering bulk water to support and promote the development of our regional communities and industries," Ms Hollows said.

"It is essential that SunWater continues to work closely with its customers, government and the community to ensure that the necessary water infrastructure is available to support regional Queensland."

"SunWater will continue to focus on ensuring it delivers professional and cost effective infrastructure management services for all its customers," she said.

Chairman Leith Boully said the Board wish to acknowledge the significant contribution that outgoing CEO Peter Boettcher has made to SunWater, regional Queensland and the water sector more broadly over the past eight years.

"Mr Boettcher’s leadership means that SunWater is well positioned to take advantage of new opportunities and meet the inevitable challenges that the future holds. We wish him well in his future endeavours," said Ms Boully.

Ms Hollows is a member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, a fellow of Australian Institute of Company Directors and a member of Chief Executive Women.
