Kirar Weir

Construction of the Kirar Weir (previously known as Eidsvold Weir) was completed in March 2005 and was officially opened in July 2005 by the then State Development and Innovation Minister, Hon Tony McGrady.
The Weir makes available 20,000 megalitres of Water Allocations and is situated on the Burnett River, 5km north-west of Eidsvold and approximately 80km southwest of Bundaberg.
The construction of the $20 million Weir took 15 months to complete.
