Connors River Dam and Pipelines Project Industry Briefing

29 Sep 2010

SunWater is currently undertaking advanced feasibility investigations into the construction of a dam on the Connors River in Central Queensland. A large diameter pipeline is also being investigated connecting the Connors River Dam to the Bowen Basin, in the vicinity of Moranbah.

Total project costs are estimated at over $800 million. It is anticipated that construction will commence in 2011 (assuming all approvals are in place) and be completed by 2014.

An Industry Briefing for the project, held in Brisbane on Wednesday, 29 September 2010, outlined the preferred Early Tenderer Involvement infrastructure delivery model that will commence in October 2010.
